Heights of Corruption

If I am not wrong, India's fiscal deficit is 3.5 lak crores and the 2G telecom scam is 1.77 lak crores.
If the 2G license was handled properly the fiscal deficit would have come down by ½. Imagine, it’s just one of the ministry, if all the ministry’s works 1 term without corruption, imagine where India will be!! Don’t you think we will beat China??
When will these politicians realize that they are also a part of the Nation and need to work for the Nations! At last its tax payers money!!
Politicians - Please realize politics is not a business, it’s a service!
Here is the complete evidence of people involved. Have a look.

Bajaj car to be world's cheapest

Bajaj's ultra-low cost car being manufactured jointly with Renault and Nissan promises to give hot chase to the Tata Nano. On Monday, Rajiv Bajaj , MD, Bajaj Auto confirmed the $2,500 (Rs 1.1 lakh) price tag for the car, announced first by Renault chairman & CEO Carlos Ghosn at the company's shareholders' meet late last week. The Renault announcement comes a few days after it pulled out of its loss-making Logan venture with Mahindra & Mahindra.

The Bajaj car will be cheaper than the Nano, which comes at Rs 1.23 lakh-1.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi ). After the launch of Tata Nano, the race for the No.2 position in the ultra-low cost car segment is under way in India , which as emerged as the Mecca of this segment. However, other automakers' plans to enter this segment are still on the drawing board.

At Renault meeting, Ghosn said: "In India , Renault and Nissan are developing an ultra-low-cost vehicle with the Bajaj group, benefiting from its expertise in light vehicles and knowledge of the Indian market." He reiterated the affordability of the vehicle for the Indian market by citing the targeted low price tag.

"We are combining our strengths with Nissan, notably in India , Russia , Brazil and Mexico ," Ghosn said. "The alliance product strategy has been finalised in India and Russia , and Renault and Nissan will pool their production capacities and platforms there to fully deliver on these developments," he added.

The car was initially scheduled to hit the market this year, but has been postponed to 2012. Bajaj Auto displayed the prototype of the small car at the 2008 Auto Expo. However, the three partners were stuck at various levels of branding and engineering the car till last year. According to industry observers, the project also got delayed as partners were stuck on pricing issues as well. While Renault wanted a low-cost car, Bajaj was keen on a car that would sport high mileage and low maintenance.

It was during his India visit that Ghosn finally announced the finalisation of the project. "As per the agreement, the design, engineering, sourcing and manufacturing will be handled by Bajaj Auto, while marketing and selling will be (done) by Renault-Nissan Alliance," he said. But he had declined to comment on the pricing of the car.

Officials from the alliance have said the car will be smaller than Maruti Suzuki's Alto, which is the biggest selling model in India .

In March, Collin Dodge, executive vice-president, Nissan Motor had said: "It is over two years that Bajaj is trying to produce the car. The physics of it is very difficult. We have not yet found a solution as there are a lot of engineering solutions required." Nissan is also in talks with Hinduja group company Ashok Leyland to develop a small car for the global market that could be priced around $4,500-5,000.

"We have a formal agreement with Ashok Leyland for making light commercial vehicles in India . In addition, we also use Ashok Leyland's engineering services for various purposes. At the moment, we are talking to them and many other partners in China , Indonesia ...for a price centric vehicle," Nissan Motor Co executive vice-president Collin Dodge had said at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

I copy common people: Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar's just released 'Housefull' has broken the dry spell at the box office by earning Rs.64 crore in the opening weekend worldwide.

The star says the secret of his success as a comedian is that he mimics common people around for most of his roles.

"The expressions that you see are mostly stolen from the faces of common people. Normally mimicry is done of big actors, but it is fun to mimic those people who have no connection with this industry. So I copy common people without copyright (laughs)," Akshay, 42, told us in an interview.

"I travel a lot. Recently, I got stuck at the Frankfurt airport because of the volcano ashes incident. I had to wait long. So I sat down and looked around and people have something to offer. It's amazing just to register that and sometimes while playing a character, suddenly that comes out and you start acting like that person. That's what's called mimicry," he added.

The actor has worked in more than 90 films in his almost two-decades-long career. In the beginning, he mostly featured in action movies like 'Khiladi', 'Elaan', 'Mohra' and 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari'. He also did romantic films like 'Yeh Dillagi', 'Dhadkan' and 'Dil Toh Paagal Hai'.

With Priyadarshan's 2000 hit film 'Hera Pheri', he forayed big time into comedies and tickled the audience's funny bone with his performance in comic capers like 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'Garam Masala', 'Phir Hera Pheri', 'Namastey London', 'Bhagam Bhaag', 'Heyy Babyy' and 'Singh Is Kinng'.

Akshay gives credit to three directors for grooming him as a comedian. "I would like to thank three people who contributed hugely in whatever little comedy I have learnt. The three are Neeraj Vora, Priyadarshanji and Rajkumar Santoshi.

"Let me tell you comedy is a big, big, big space. The biggest comedian was Charlie Chaplin who could make people laugh without saying a word. Then we have Mr. Bean. They are amazing," said Akshay.

"TAJ MAHAL - THE TRUE STORY"

,,

=>

=>

=>

==>

==>

==>

==>

==>

Now, women to guard Indian borders

While, women are considered equal to men, in a country like India still the feminine gender has yet to conquer some of the male dominated bastions. However, this is finally going to get changed by the end of this month and it would surely bring in more opportunities for females. Recently, the Border Security Force(BFS)has taken a major decision and initiative to allow its first women battalion to perform the combat duties that includes the guarding the borders between India and Pakistan. About 1000 personnel from the first female battalion of BSF will be inducted for combat duties. It's a great move for women in India as it further diminishes discrimination between the two genders and attempts to show equality in the area of defence which has always been dominated by men. This latest decision will surely have major impact in coming years on lives of young women who dream of serving the country's borders and fight against the enemies of state but were never given such opportunities before or were not even considered eligible. This is an unprecedented move in the history of India and strong message to the male dominated society. On the other side, it opens up a wide window of opportunities in terms of jobs and employment for women in the combat forces. It's a new avenues that surely the women would love to conquer and become pride of India.

Sqn Ldr S Singh

Sqn Ldr S Singh is a fighter pilot with the Indian Air Force. Presently posted at the Gwalior base, he surely is in love with his Mirage 2000H. When not with his French beauty, he loves to play squash and relax with a game of snooker.

Know more about his life as a fighter pilot by reading about his daily schedule.

My life in the Air Force moves at a maximum speed of 2495 km/hr (incidentally the speed of Mirage 2000H). I begin my day at 5:00 A.M. and report to the base by 6:00 A.M. with my partner Harinder - called Hawk.

The usual sight of the aircraft ready to take off with missiles and gun arms loaded surely sets my adrenaline pumping. After the briefing, we set out in the open blue skies for our missions.

In fact, few days back Hawk and me were in the middle of an interesting situation. The Radar Controller had noticed an unidentified blip on his scope. We were sent for this mission. Deep in our hearts we both were hoping that it would be an Atlantique or a fighter formation. As we got a go ahead from the mission, like well-oiled machines, we swung into action. On contacting the Radar Controller, we obtained instructions over the radio. He vectored us in a northwest direction, where he was pitching up an unidentified blip on his scope. We spotted him visually at 11 o'clock, 14 km away, flying 10,000 feet above our altitude. He turned out to be a 747, strayed from his hack. What a letdown. We called off the chase after informing the Controller and quickly returned to Base.

Usually, after the day's mission is over, I go home for lunch and a short nap. Evenings are reserved for my game of squash and snooker. Thereafter, I usually hang around in the club with my wife and colleagues.

To me Air Force is not just a career option, but also a way of life that helps me live my life to the fullest. I enjoy every moment I spend here.

For Hearts are often broken by words left unspoken!

I don't need anyone to take advantage
of my weaknesses or my strengths,
I need someone who will appreciate

me for everything that I am.

People won't remember what you did.
People won't remember what you said.
But, people will remember how you made them feel.

True love is falling in love with your best friend,
and only then, will you find the meaning of happiness.

Never say 'I like you' if you don't care.
never talk about feelings if they're not there.
never touch a life if you mean to break a heart.

It's hard to live alone,
its hard to choose someone to love,
but the hardest part of falling
is to admit that you have fallen in love
with someone you didn't mean to love from the start...

We all want to fall in love.
Why? Because that experience
makes us feel completely alive.
Where every sense is heightened,
every emotion is magnified,
our everyday reality is shattered
and we are flying into the heavens.
It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon.
But that doesn't diminish its value.
Because we are left with memories
that we treasure for the rest of our lives.

Love is not measured by how you feel,
but how you make the other person feel.

When traveling the path of life,
and finding love along the way,
everything looks new and different.
Little do you know it is the same old landscape
you used to see all of the time;
love has just given you new eyes.

GOD puts a certain person in our Lives for a Reason,
And whatever Reason that GOD
had in mind for putting you into mine...
I don't mind... I am just thankful HE did.

Love may mean taking chances, but their worth taking.

Love, is letting go of fear

So often we don't say 'I love you'
because we fear losing someone,
but more often we lose them
because we fear saying 'I love you'

If you love someone, tell them...
for hearts are often broken by words left unspoken!

Happy Holi

Saade rang ko galti se aap naa kora samjho,
Isi mey samaaye indradhanushi saaton rang,
Jo dikhe aapko zindagi saadagi bhari kisi ki,
To aap yun samjho satrangi hai duniya usiki,
Holi aayi satrangi rango ki bouchar laayi,
Dher saari mithai aur mitha mitha pyar laayi,
Jisme samaaye saaton rang yahi shubhkamna hai hamaari.

Creating a Backup for Your Google Account

Using a single account for all the Google has a lot of advantages but if, for some reason, you can't access the account or Google temporarily disables it, you lose a lot of important data. Fortunately, you can set up a Google account that should give you access to some of the information from your account. (You should also backup important data in other ways: download Gmail messages using POP3/IMAP in a mail client, export your documents from Google Docs, back up your Blogger blogs etc.)

* If you use Gmail, you could create a Gmail account whose only purpose is to fetch messages from your main account. Set up mail fetcher in the backup account and add the main account as a custom From address. This way, you'll be able to read all the messages from your account and even send mail.

* Add the backup account as a Google Talk friend from Gmail Chat or from other Google Talk interface. As a side effect, you'll have access to your shared items from Google Reader.

* For Blogger, add the backup account in the blog authors section: Settings > Permissions > Add authors. The account should have admin privileges so that you can create, edit and delete posts.

* In Google Analytics, go to Access Manager and add the account as an admin. You'll have access to all reports and profiles in the backup account.

* Google Calendar lets you share the main calendar with other people and even give them the right to edit events. Click on "Manage calendars" at the bottom of the window, share the main calendar and add the backup account. You should select "make changes and manage sharing" from the drop-down.

* If you're the owner of a group in Google Groups, go to the member invitation section, select "Add members directly" and add the backup account. Then change the membership type of the new account to "owner". It's also a good idea to select "no email" in the subscription type.

* Add the backup account as a collaborator for some of the most important Google documents and notebooks.

* Other Google services only allow you to export your data: Google Reader (Settings > Import/Export), iGoogle (share each tab with the backup account), Gmail contacts, Google News personalization (scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click on "Share your personalized news with a friend").

The backup account will not have all the data from your main account, but you'll still be able to read your email, send messages, publish blog posts, check your calendar, add new events, access important documents etc.
